We are pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen “Tango” Tourangeau, Dean of the Reginald Victor Jones Institute on Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations was the guest speaker on the recent Association of Old Crows (AOC) podcast From the Crows’ Nest.  This regularly scheduled podcast features interviews, analysis, and discussions covering leading issues of the day related to electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO) in which Ken Miller, Director of Advocacy and Outreach for AOC, is our host.

The May 12 podcast is titled Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). JADC2 is a vision to connect all military sensors into a single network. It is designed to give a situational awareness picture across every area of responsibility for Combatant Command leaders and senior Department of Defense officials.

Ken and Tango discuss the challenge of fusing sensor data across weapons systems, the role of electromagnetic spectrum operations as the “backbone” of the JADC2 mission, and how artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) are changing discussion on the line between intelligence and operations.
